The recent Singapore Junior Golf Championship was held at Keppel Club in June. The event was a success as Keppel hosted it for the 4th year running. The winner, Johnson Poh fought off fierce competition from last year's Champion George Foo and Malaysian golfer Muhd Arie Irawan.

Here are some photos of the work that was done behind the scene prior and during the championship:

Kitchen Garden
Keppel Club Golfing Blog By blog on 24/05/2008 13:53
Our Golf Course Maintenace Department has came up with another novel idea in keeping Keppel Club with the slogan  "We love nature, protect our environment ". They have started they very own kitchen garden with a variety of herbs and spices for all to see. Here are some of the plants and uses

Chiili.

No matter which country you are in, you will invariably find a version of chilli. We now have our own bed of chilli at Keppel Club! A staple for most Asian countries, chillies contain high amounts of vitamin C and provitamin A. The bright red colours of the chillies will be a sight to behold once all of the chillies are fully grown and ready to be harvested.

Hole 3 Renovation
Keppel Club Golfing Blog By blog on 02/05/2008 10:11
Renovation work is underway at hole 3 for the erection of the 35-metre high masts with nettings. You would have noticed that some of the trees along the boundary between Keppel Club and Keppel Land’s development have been chopped down. A section of the buggy path will be re-diverted from Tuesday, 25 March 2007 for 3 to 5 weeks for foundation works of the high mast under part of the buggy track. The diversion will ensure that golfers will be able to continue with their game without interruption. The buggy track will be re-paved after the foundation work is completed.

We Care Rainforest Experience Dinner
Keppel Club Golfing Blog Club Events By blog on 03/04/2008 17:00
The Annual We Care Dinner was an experience someone got to be there in person to really appreciate the hard work put in by all of us. A ‘Guard of Honour’ of the rangers and the tiger girls welcomed golfers. The set-up mesmerized the golfers and most of them took souvenir photos with the set up and they had a surprise in store for them when a ‘gorilla’ appeared to take that memorable shot with them. Here are some photos for your viewing.

Guests were welcomed by our very own sniper, Izan

Annual We Care Fun Game
Keppel Club Golfing Blog By blog on 03/04/2008 11:53

The day started with the ‘rangers’ welcoming the players at the buggy station equipped with rifles and buggies. As soon as the game tee off Chief Ranger aka our very own Mr Desmond Chua gathered his crew of rangers and got ready to go on an expedition to give away free beers. With the help of two tiger girls, the entourage set off with a collective mission in mind, to greet and ensure every golfer had their fair share of beer and fun.
