A great start for Hexa Golf
Fun at the golf course extended to the post-game dinner.
The first of a series of friendly inter-club games known as Hexa Golf got off to a great start at Sembawang Country Club on Jan 14.
Although there was an element of competition, it was really a day of fun golf. Sixty golfers from five clubs took part. They were Keppel Club, Orchid Country Club, Changi Golf Club, Warren Golf and Country Club and hosts Sembawang Country Club. Absent was the sixth club, Seletar Country Club.
They were blessed with wonderful weather. Games at the course in the previous three days had been washed out, according to a Sembawang golf marshal.
Keppel Club was represented by its Management Committee and Green Committee members. Ably led by Captain Anthony Maniam, the team included President Lai Mun Onn, Vice-Captain Wong Kok Leong and Lady Vice-Captain Lily Rahmat.
Orchid CC emerged the champion team.
Sembawang CC were good hosts, making sure the event was well organised and feasting us at the post-game dinner. And, of course, they also provided the means for the rowdy yam sengs.
When and where will the next game be held? That was the burning question at the dinner.

Tri-Party event, Orchid CC, Warren GCC and Seletar CC decided to join in, and today, we have the Hexa Golf.
