Dear members,

Thank you for your understanding and patience while we renovate the golf course. Besides constructing the greens, tee boxes and bunkers, we have improved many drainage areas. We are pleased to announce that the renovation is almost complete.

For a start, the club would like to organize a series of test plays to allow members to get a first-round play to experience the new, improved golf course.

Because the Zoysia Trinity on the greens and the Zoysia Materilla on the tee boxes are still in their infancy stages, we can only accommodate a limited flights for a start, about ten flights maximum per day.

Also, be expected that minor touch up and ongoing works will continue as we approach the final phase of the renovation. We seek your kind understanding and acceptance and extend our apologies for any disruptions and inconvenience caused to you.

The Test Play is only open to members and will take place from Nov 8 to Dec 4, 2022.

Kindly refer to the terms and conditions below:

Balloting information:

• Balloting opens on Oct 26, 2022 (10:00) and closes on Oct 29, 2022 (23:59).
• Ballot results will be released on Nov 3, 2022.
• Ball matches will be released via the Event Calendar on the Keppel Club website.
• Members are advised to form their flight.  Minimum three players per submission.
• An email notification will be released to the principal booker’s registered email.

Terms and conditions are as follows:

• 10 flights (40 slots) per day.
• One game per member throughout the whole test period, i.e. Nov 8 to Dec 4, 2022.
• Members will not be charged for this game.
• Members’ guests are not allowed.
• Each member can only submit their name once. Any repeat submissions will be disqualified.
• No rain checks will be issued for inclement weather.
• Members need to inform the club at least 5 days from play date if they are unable to play otherwise the No Show penalty will apply. No replacement slots will be given.

Following up after the test play period, the club will need to evaluate the conditions of the golf course, facilities, and backend operations to prepare before we move towards a soft launch stage to accommodate more flights per day. We will notify you once we are ready to do this in December 2022.

November and December are monsoon periods, and the Sime course is located within the water catchment area. We seek your kind understanding that the playing conditions of the golf course will have its limitations because the golf course is built on a soil base. We will continue with upgrading works to the drainage after the soft launch.

Be assured that we are doing our utmost towards operating at full capacity once the grass at the tee boxes and greens have been fully established. Until then, we can only progressively increase the number of flights daily.
